Purpose
The website gives your helpful work a clear home.
Your website can explain who you help, organise answers, collect permission-based email subscribers and give relevant recommendations a context. It supports the relationship between a visitor's question and their next decision.
A useful site does not need every feature at launch. It needs a small structure that matches the audience and the problem from Module 2.
- Make the audience and problem clear near the top of the homepage.
- Give first-time visitors a Start Here route.
- Use content to answer questions before presenting an offer.
- Keep contact, trust and disclosure information accessible.
Beginner standard
A small site with clear jobs is more useful than a large site that asks visitors to work out the route.
